First off this e74 error comes up on your damn tv screen when you pop in a game and are all fired up to play on xbox live and pwn some noobs

So then I search the net and realize I have to get the xbox registered in my name in order to get a warranty fix for it. SO I wait all night and call microsoft in the morning, and they transfer the registration to me, and give me a pre-paid shipping label.

So I box it all up

And now get to wait 2-3 weeks to get it back. Oh and I just received a new gamefly game in the mail today....yay! And I just lost 4 days on my Tiger Woods 2010 rental. Not to mention a month of xbox live gold down the tubes.....FML
This sucks. Sorry man!

On the plus side....Fight Night Round 4 is AMAZING so far! I'm going to try and 1000 it this weekend.
So it was mailed to them on a thursday, and got there that next wednesday. They mailed a different elite unit back to me thursday morning. Thus assuming my e74 was legit, so now I get a refurb with a new warranty. And it will be arriving this wednesday. So overall two weeks.....because it was stuffed over two weekends, and ups doesn't ship saturdays unless you pay an arm and a hand grenade.
Not a bad deal. My brother just wrapped his 60GB in a towel and gave himself rings of death three times over the course of the last 2 months. They're sending him an elite for his hassles. He then proceeds to tell him that he will not be happy if its a refurb. They assure him that this will NOT be the case.

I'm in shock that he got one over like this!
I worked at a UPS store and we used to get at least 5 returns a week. Everyone came in like they were the first person to drop off a deadbox, and we'd be like "no, we know what to do with it, don't worry."
well if it aint a billy bob gate deathbox. If it says MS on it somewhere, theres gonna be trouble Lol. Sorry to hear about your hassles. Too bad it cant be hacked to permanently fix the RROD . RROD is like BSOD only perm. Be lucky it aint Apple. They'd charge ya twice as much for internet service. And the controllers would probably be permanently attached to the console Lol
RROD can be fixed. Quite easily.

E74 I'm not so sure.

I woke up today to find that the ROM wasn't reading my discs. I fiddled for a moment. Then through a bluray ROM in there with a custom firmware. Guess the PS3 doesn't have much on my BOX. Lol

(scratches head).....hmmm
Main selling point of PS3 is that its bluray as well. With a custom firmware on a Bluray ROM, what does the PS3 have on my box now859607
wait so it read the blue-ray disc on your 360?
Yup, only because its a Blueray ROM, I loaded a custom firmware so that it will ALSO read the 360 protected game discs. Its not a PS3 ROM, its a Pioneer that I got from a local computer store
