I'd love to get nimbuzz, but every time I've tried it, it crashes the phone! Do I need the registry edit before nimbuzz will work properly?

how does one tell which apps are for WM6 and/or 6.1 or should you just assume that nothing works on the 6.1, which has been my experience, most often, with most of these collections here and elsewhere. then again, it could just be me.
