the palringo app is awsome..i use it all the time. i added a new buddy to my contacts the other day..we were chatting but the messages he was sending me were comeing through my txt inbox and not through palringo chat box.
is any one else haveing this issue. and if so, is there a fix for it? Confused

I'd help you out with this if I could. If I knew what was causing it. I've never seen an IM client handle another IM from another user and toss it into the SMS inbox. That's too weird.

well i finally recieved a reply from palringo today. 404904 they say the reason the messages were comeing as text because i have yahoo messenger set up to recieve text to my phone.
but i am still confused, because if both parties have palringo and both are useing it, why in the heck would messages come as text859607 141842

Ahhhh that would explian it.

Maybe because you are using your yahoo service on palringo. Palringo is a client all in its own, and it also is a gateway to several other messenger services (like msn & yahoo) so you can chat with them. The palringo client must connect through a gateway to another service (yahoo), fetch user data thru server and send it back to palringo or another messaging client. Because it is still using yahoo's server for your account, its gonna convert it to sms. Palringo is simply a frontend for other services. The service is still being used, your just using another program to access it. You'll have to log in to yahoo on your browser and change your messenger options there.
